Intros Galore! (2022-2023)

A Christmas Eve treat which this time includes a short tribute to my grandpa, Roger Conwell, Jr.

I gave a heads-up in September (at the end of episode 103) that it would probably be a while before y'all heard from me again, and turns out, I was right.

But I didn't want to leave y'all hanging completely, so here I am with my biannual (biennial?) tradition of putting out a new edition of "Intros Galore!", a mashup of intro snippets for all the episodes I released in 2022 and 2023. A Christmas Eve treat which this time includes a short tribute to my grandpa, Roger Conwell, Jr., who passed away two days before Thanksgiving. He was an educator and a principal in Louisville, Kentucky for a little over 30 years, and he set an incredibly strong precedent for valuing and pursuing education in my family. Even though I never told him about Young, Gifted and Abroad—I'm not even sure if he was aware that podcasts existed—he was definitely a compelling influence on me eventually starting this show. So I'm dedicating this mashup to him. Happy listening! (And if you feel so inclined, you can read more of my thoughts about Grandpa here.)

Rest in peace, Grandpa.

Free Palestine. Free the Congo. Free all oppressed peoples of this world.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you who celebrate.
